El campeonato de fútbol de la Primera B se jugará desde el 12 de marzo, según el acuerdo al que llegaron los delegados de los diez clubes que conforman el comité de esa categoría.
La temporada debía arrancar el 26 de febrero, pero debido a la lluvia caída un día antes de esa fecha se suspendieron los cinco partidos que estaban programados.
Los equipos que este año participarán en el torneo de la Primera B son: 24 de Septiembre y 25 de Junio, que descendieron el año pasado de la Primera A, además de San Martín, Bancruz Piraí, UPSA, Yapacaní Fútbol Club, Sebastián Pagador, Royal Pari, Florida y Virginia USA, los dos últimos ascendieron en 2010 a esta categoría.
El campeonato se jugará en dos series de cinco equipos cada una, para entrar después a una liguilla final entre seis aspirantes al título.
Todos los partidos de esta categoría se juegan en la cancha Municipal, que se encuentra en excelentes condiciones.
